What's New With DeeZe

It has been a minute since my last article. I owe you all an update on what I’ve been up to.

Over the last six months, we’ve done a little resetting. I have:
1) Filmed and started releasing the next season of We Do A Little
2) Stopped smoking weed, currently 5 months sober
3) Dove head first into the memecoin trenches, spending way too much time on the photon memescope aping into freshly bonded pairs trying to hit the next 100x
4) Created a new Old School Runescape ironman and put 18 days of playtime into it over the last two months (friend chat “DeeZe” if you play and want to talk to likeminded crypto x OSRS degenerates)
5) Drafted 500+ best ball lineups and am managing 7 high stakes season long football leagues
6) Started IVF cycles (this is way more stressful than I thought it would be, mad props to our wives. Daily shots and medicine and all of the stress that comes with IVF is 😭)

Getting Sober
I haven’t taken longer than a month break from weed in 11 years. I’ve always found it impossible to quit, because I truly didn’t want to. That was until I lost a decently sized house in the Midwest worth of ETH farming Blast Gold while being permastoned and rationalizing my degeneracy. The combination of a big loss + preparing for IVF made getting sober the easiest thing I’ve ever done.

Now I feel sharper than ever and can’t imagine going back to being stoned for 8+ hours a day. Funny how that works. Fucking dreams though, wish I could still block those out. I made a new DeeZedition around my first sober dream titled “Of Moose and Men”

Memecoin Trench Warfare
The last month has been an incredibly fruitful time to gamble in the trenches. We are seeing tokens pop up and run to 50M+ over the course of days. Countless examples like GOAT, GNON, LUCE, etc. have popped up and it has been the main focus of my attention.

I’ve been getting a ton of questions about the trenches so I wrote up a long-form tweet about what I’ve been doing and things I look for. It has turned into my most bookmarked tweet of all time.

“Here is a quick thread of tips and tricks I'm using personally.

1) You need a trading bot, using jupiter/birdeye/dexscreener isn't going to cut it during periods of high volatility where speed is of the essence. The two most popular right now are @tradewithPhoton and @bullx_io (I'll put my photon ref at the bottom of this as that's what I use right now)

2) Assume everything you're buying is going to rug. Usually within a few hours. This means that if you hit a nice multiple early, you can take your initials out and freeroll the rest of the bag. Do not swing big on any of these shitters unless you know something others don't. Always be selling small chunks as price rises and be content locking in gains.

3) The lower the market cap you buy in at, the higher upside you have. The lower market cap you buy in at, the greater chance it is a rug. Personally I've had the most success buying tokens that are close to graduating from pump dot fun to Raydium (in the 20k-50k range)

4) Stare at the Photon memescope page to find "promising" new games of musical chairs to play. Look for the Top 10% of ownership to be < 25%, devs with a small chunk of the supply or even "dev sold"

5) Set custom filters on the memescope page, you can automatically filter for things like dev holding %, market cap, holder count, etc.

6) When you find a new token, look at the linked Twitter, Telegram and website. Often times I am seeing runners that only have a linked Twitter or website. Half of the time the website is janky and bullshit, but people are still aping so...don't weight that too much (example like WORM from last night, I saw it at 100K mcap, looked like shit, I faded, went to bed and saw it was trading over 14M when I woke up. Missed on a casual 140x)

7) Check for mutual followers on the twitter account / in the telegram. There are times I am in something so early that there are no mutuals and I'll be refreshing twitter every few minutes to see if there is traction gaining. I don't follow the shit that looks like a rug personally but I follow a lot of trench warriors who seem to do so (and almost every time I see them start following after I've bought in, price goes up)

8) Look for tokens that are doing something novel or have a better narrative than "well this looks like a rug but what if it goes up." 99.99% of these tokens are going to be hard rugs and our job is to find the ones that have some plausible narrative that make it not a hard rug. Obviously we're in an AI-centric meta right now, so looking for things that do something unique with AI have been very hot.

9) Do not gamble with more than you can afford to lose and do not cope about selling something early that could've been life changing gains after it went up 1000x after your sell. I haven't seen new tokens rip like this in a long time and there will be more opportunities every day.

10) Find a group of friends to talk to daily about all of this shit. Get in a discord or telegram with a bot like Rick Sanchez where you can post contract addresses and get instant information about tokens. Doing this alone is significantly harder than gambling with friends. That being said, treat your friends how you want to be treated. Do not be the person who is buying, sharing, and dumping on your friends' heads immediately after. Common sense but people in this space are fucking stupid.

11) Create a private list on Twitter of "Trench Warriors" and add people that you see consistently in new shit to it. Know that most of the stuff you see on Twitter is shared after it is already somewhat common knowledge in smaller group chats. That doesn't mean you can't be late early, but you're very rarely early early when you see something on the timeline.

Old School Runescape Ironman
I needed a new addiction to replace my weed addiction so a couple months ago I made a new ironman. I’m playing this shit 6+ hours a day while trading and staring at the timeline and having an absolute blast. We have a public friend chat under my main account “DeeZe” and it is open to everyone. We talk highly illiquid shitcoins as well as banter about everything.

Wrap-up
I won’t go too deep into explaining best ball or the IVF stuff. Best Ball is simply a better way to play fantasy football, you draft a lineup and after the draft you cannot do anything to the lineup until the contest ends. This lets you draft a bunch of different teams with different themes and hope to win a big contest (largest prizes are $1,500,000.) I drafted the majority of my teams on Underdog where they also have weekly drafts for football and daily drafts for every other sport. If you want to dabble, they’ll match your deposit up to the first $1,000.

IVF has been pretty damn stressful. Definitely didn’t realize how expensive the treatment and medications are but I am thankful we can afford it and that Mrs. Deeze is a champion. Sadly, I’ll be missing Marfa this year since it lines up with one of our cycles but I’ll be in Miami for Art Basel for a week.
